Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you’ve probably heard whispers about Project 2025. But what exactly is it? Is it a Republican masterplan to turn American democracy into a fascist dictatorship? Or just a policy wishlist blown out of proportion? I decided to dive deep and read all 900 pages of this document, and trust me:
It's way worse than you think!
To give you a quick snapshot, Project 2025 is a blueprint crafted by a coalition of 54 influential conservative organizations and 276 contributors, including officials from Trump’s administration. Their goal? Assemble an army of like-minded conservatives to take over the government, giving Trump, or any future MAGA president, unchecked power from day one! It’s a radical manifesto that reads like a how-to guide on dismantling American democracy, piece by piece.
Let’s start with their plan for executive power. They want to put Trump loyalists in every key government position, firing career civil servants left and right. The Department of Justice and FBI? They’d answer directly to the president, essentially stripping away their ability to act as a check on executive power. This isn’t about draining the swamp—it’s about filling it with cronies who won’t dare question Dear Leader.
Then there's the immigration policy—deportation. Project 2025 calls for the largest wave of deportations in U.S. history, tearing millions of families apart without warrants - simply going off of the "good judgement" of ICE officers—because what could possibly go wrong with that kind of unchecked power in the hands of a state gestapo?
It gets worse:
There’s a blatant assault on reproductive rights, including calls for "abortion surveillance," restricting mifepristone, defunding Planned Parenthood, and slashing reproductive healthcare programs globally. All while dismantling science-based comprehensive sex education programs and support for single mothers. This plan is diabolically evil.
Oh, but it’s not just about women. LGBTQ+ rights? Don’t count on them. The plan’s dripping with Christian nationalist rhetoric, vilifying the LGBTQ+ community as predators and calling for a reinstatement of Trump’s ban on transgender military service. They’re even equating transgender identity with "pornography that's invading our schools." Before calling for a total ban on said "pornography." Yep, you read that right!
Project 2025 also goes after education, aiming to dismantle the Department of Education itself. They’re pushing for voucher programs to fund religious schools and unregulated homeschooling—perfect breeding grounds for more Christian nationalism, climate change denial, and yes, even flat earth nonsense. Let’s not forget their disdain for environmental protections; this plan actively encourages rolling back green legislation, defunding climate research, and ramping up nuclear arms production.
And the pièce de résistance? They plan to make voting obsolete. In Trump’s own words, “Get out and vote... but in four years, you won’t have to vote anymore.” It’s not subtle—they’re preparing for a future where elections are meaningless because the system has already been rigged in their favor.
The terrifying part is that this isn’t some far-off dystopian nightmare—it’s a reality that could happen if enough people don’t show up at the polls in 2024. The Heritage Foundation and Trump’s advisors are already starring in recruitment videos for Project 2025, pushing the idea that this isn’t just a policy outline—it’s a battle plan for the next American Revolution. And they’re ready to implement it the moment they take office.
