Is American Democracy Really Dead? Or is there still hope? The results are in, and they're not pretty. Trump's win in 2024 has many Americans worried that democracy itself is on life support. But before you pack your bags for Canada or resign yourself to living in Gilead, let me share some insights that might help you sleep a little better at night.
First off, I want to acknowledge that there are legitimate reasons for concern about Trump's authoritarian ambitions, and I covered a lot of those already in my video on Project 2025. But I think that some of our worst fears about the death of democracy might be misplaced. This is far from over, and as long as we don't give up in despair and roll over in defeatism, I think we can actually beat this.
