Ignoring international quarantine measures implemented to slow the spread of COVID-19, The Eastern Orthodox Church continues to serve communion from a common spoon. Churches have become coronavirus infection hot zones.
Priests ignore guidelines, encourage their congregants to attend services, don't wear masks, don't practice social distancing, don't disinfect icons people kiss, and don't even wipe off the communion spoon between recipients of the eucharist. Priests then cover-up infection rates to protect the faith.
